The JEECUP 2026 exam, also called UPJEE (P), is a state-level entrance test for students who want to join polytechnic courses in Uttar Pradesh. It is organized by the Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh. The exam is held online and is available in both English and Hindi languages.

Students who have passed class 10th or 12th from a recognized board and are at least 14 years old can apply. There is no upper age limit. Most seats are reserved for candidates who live in Uttar Pradesh. The application form will be available online from the first week of January 2026, and students must fill it carefully as no corrections are allowed later.

The JEECUP exam has 100 multiple-choice questions, and students get 150 minutes to complete it. Each correct answer gives 4 marks, and there is no negative marking. The questions come from subjects like Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, based on 10th and 12th-grade syllabi.

After the exam, the answer key and results will be published online. Qualified students will participate in counselling starting in August 2026 to choose their colleges and courses. The entire process is managed through an official website to keep things simple and transparent.

JEECUP 2026 Application Form

The JEECUP 2026 application form will be available online from the first week of January 2026. Candidates must apply through the official website, as no offline forms will be accepted. Before filling out the form, it is important to check the eligibility criteria carefully. The process starts with registration by entering basic details. Candidates must provide accurate information, as no corrections will be allowed later. After registration, applicants must fill in details like domicile, category, and qualifying exam information. They also need to upload scanned copies of their photograph, signature, and left-hand thumb impression in the specified format. Before submitting, candidates should carefully review all the information. After submission, it is advised to save and print a copy of the application form for future reference. The application fee can be paid online via net banking, debit or credit cards, UPI, or through e-challan at any SBI branch. The fee is Rs. 300 for General and OBC candidates, and Rs. 200 for SC and ST candidates.

• Exam Mode: Exam will be held through online CBT mode.
• Duration: A total of 150 minutes will be given to solve the exam.
• Exam Groups: Group A, Group E1, E2, Group B, L to K will be there.
• Question Types: Multiple Choice of Questions (MCQs) will be asked in the exam.
• Language: There will be only English and Hindi medium available.
• Number of Questions: Candidates will have to solve 100 questions in total.

JEECUP 2026 Syllabus

JEECUP 2026 Admit Card

JEEEC, Uttar Pradesh, will issue the JEECUP 2026 admit card in the second week of March 2026. The admit card download link will be updated on the website of the authority. Candidates will be able to download the admit card through online mode.

To access it, candidates will have to use their login details, such as application number and password. It will consist of the details such as exam dates, exam centre, important instructions, timings, name and other details. To appear for the exam, it is mandatory to keep a hard copy of the admit card safe.

JEECUP 2026 Answer Key

The authority will announce the UPJEE 2026 answer key date through online mode. Answer key is expected to be released in the last week of March 2026. Candidates will be able to access the answer key through online mode. It will be released in the form of a PDF.

If candidates are not satisfied with the answers provided in the key, they can object to it. Candidates will have to pay a Rs 100/- fee to challenge the answer key through online mode. After examining all the raised objections, the final answer key will be published.

JEECUP 2026 Result

JEEC, Uttar Pradesh will declare the JEECUP 2026 result in the first week of April 2026. The link to download the result will be available on the website of the authority. Login credentials such as application number and date of birth will be required to check the result.

It will consist of the total marks obtained and the qualifying status of the candidates. After downloading the result, candidates must keep the hardcopy of it safe till admission.  Qualified candidates in the exam will be eligible to participate in the counselling procedure.

JEECUP 2026 Cut Off

The JEECUP 2026 cut-off will be released through online mode. It will be released along with the merit list on the website. To be eligible for admission, candidates must obtain the minimum cut-off/ qualifying marks published by the authority.

After completing the normalisation procedure, the cut-off list will be released by the authority through online mode. The cut-off marks will vary according to the different courses/groups and categories, and categories.

JEECUP 2026 Counselling

The JEECUP 2026 counselling procedure will commence from the second week of August 2026. Those candidates who qualify in the exam will be eligible to participate in the counselling sessions.

It will include various steps such as registration, choice filling, payment of processing fee, seat allotment, and final admission. The seats will be allocated to the shortlisted candidates in counselling. Candidates will also need to bring some important documents for verification. After verifying all the documents, admission will be given to the candidates.
