VMMC has MBBS (5.5 years) and BSc (Hons) Nursing (4 years) degree courses, MD/MS (3 years) and DM/MCh (3 years) programmes. There are only entrance-based admissions to all courses, viz., NEET UG to MBBS and BSc Nursing, NEET PG to MD/MS, NEET SS to DM/MCh. The qualification criteria of MBBS and BSc Nursing is 10+2 with science, MD/MS with 10+2 with science, DM/MCh with MD/MS.
