Indian Institute of Technology Delhi Admissions attracting top-performing students from across the country and internationally. For undergraduate programs like B.Tech, candidates need to complete Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, securing a minimum of 75% aggregate marks (or be in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards). For SC/ST candidates, the minimum score is 65%. Admission to B.Tech programs is strictly based on JEE Advanced, for which candidates must first qualify through JEE Main.
For the B.Des program, applicants must have passed Class 12 with at least 45% marks and get admission through the UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design). Only two consecutive attempts permitted for UCEED.
The admission process starts from online registration via IIT Delhi’s official admission portal, submission of necessary documents (including marksheets, entrance exam scorecards, category certificates, and birth proof), and payment of an application fee. For B.Tech admissions, seat allocation is managed through JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority), where candidates must participate in centralized counseling and select IIT Delhi as a preferred choice. For B.Des, admission offers are based on UCEED ranks and counseling rounds.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi placement season for the academic year 2024–25 has been outstanding, with over 1,200 job offers extended to approximately 1,150 students. More than 50 international companies participated in placement from 15+ organizations, across regions such as Japan, the Netherlands, South Korea, Taiwan, the UAE, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
