Admission to the flagship B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) program at NLU Delhi is done through the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET), conducted by the university itself. Candidates must have completed their Class 12 or equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/PwD). The AILET is a national-level entrance exam that tests students in English, Logical Reasoning, Current Affairs, and Legal Aptitude. Selection is purely based on merit in AILET, and shortlisted candidates go through counselling for seat allotment.
For LL.M. and Ph.D. programs, applicants must hold a valid LL.B. or LL.M. degree, respectively, with the required minimum marks. These programs also require candidates to appear for AILET conducted specifically for postgraduate and doctoral admissions. For Ph.D. admissions, shortlisted candidates are further invited for a personal interview and research proposal presentation.
