The undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs at MIT Shillong are wide-ranged, providing BA, BBA, B.Com, B.Des, MA, MBA, MCA and PhD in many fields. The admissions to MIT Shillong into the 2025-2026 academic session are underway in all undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate courses. Applicants need to procure, enter personal and academic information, submit necessary documents and pay an application fee. Most of the programs offer admission on merit basis but in the case of some courses such as MBA, B.Des and MCA admission requires a valid score at the national or state-wide entrance exams (CAT, MAT, XAT, NID DAT, UCEED). To help deserving and outstanding students, MIT Shillong has a number of merit and need-based scholarships. U Jeebon Roy Mairom scholarship is only available to board toppers and JEE (Main) qualified students, with up to 100 percent tuition fee waiver. The Skendrowell Syiemlieh merit-cum-means scholarship waives up to 100 per cent of the tuition fee according to the academic achievement and family income. U Tirot Sing Syiem sports scholarship acknowledges national and international medalists and participants. The U Kiang Nangbah teaching assistance scheme also provides stipends of INR 12000 per month to academically excellent students who would help in teaching at universities. Relevant certificates and income documents need to be submitted to verify by the applicants.
