Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) is a medical university in Patna established in 1983, the capital of Bihar, and an autonomous state government medical university. The IGIMS university is under the AIIMS, New Delhi and is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and Indian Nursing Council (INC). It is a medical research, teaching, and healthcare center of eastern India occupying more than 130 acres.
