UPTAC counselling 2026 eligibility is yet to be revised. Based on previous criteria, candidates who passed their qualifying exam from any institution in Uttar Pradesh or whose parents are UP residents can apply if they meet eligibility requirements.

If a candidate passed the exam outside UP, they must upload their parents’ domicile certificate (father or mother) during online registration for verification and submit the original during physical reporting at the allotted institute.

Candidates who passed the exam outside UP and whose parents are not UP residents can also apply if they meet the conditions mentioned in the brochure. There is no age limit for admission through this counselling.

1. Freeze Option

• Choosing Freeze means the candidate accepts the allotted seat and does not wish to participate in further counselling rounds.
• However, if applicable, the category of the allotted seat can be upgraded in the next round.

2. Float Option

• Choosing Float allows the candidate to keep their current seat while still being considered for better options in future rounds.
