Initially housed on the Kamla Nehru Institute of Technology Sultanpur campus, the college moved to its own premises in August 2012. It operates as a constituent college affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (formerly U.P. Technical University).
The institute’s programs in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology are accredited by the NBA for the periods 2021–22 to 2023–24 and extended through 2024–25 to 2026–27, while the Civil Engineering program currently does not hold NBA accreditation.
