MANIT (MANIT), Bhopal, was established in 1960 as Maulana Azad College of Technology (Regional Engineering College) and renamed as a National Institute of Technology in 2002; it became an Institute of National Importance under the NIT Act in 2007. Over its decades-long pedigree, MANIT has earned accreditation from NBA and approval by AICTE and UGC and, as of 2026, is consistently ranked among India’s top engineering and architecture institutions 65th in engineering and 15th in architecture by NIRF.
