The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Dharwad (IIIT Dharwad) was established in 2015 as an Institute of National Importance, created under a Public‑Private Partnership model involving the Ministry of Education (GoI), the Government of Karnataka, and industry partner KEONICS. IIIT Dharwad Admission 2026

IIIT Dharwad admissions are primarily merit-based and follow national protocols. The 60-acre permanent campus of IIIT Dharwad has state-of-the-art facilities designed for research, education, and student life. • Academic (e Block): Houses large, naturally lit classrooms including two 120‑seater and one 240‑seater halls for workshops, conferences, and hackathons with live‑streaming support. • Main (π) & Multi‑Function (m) Block: π Block contains administrative offices, boardroom, Knowledge Resource Center, and incubation space. The adjoining m Block can double as an auditorium or indoor basketball court.
• Hostels (b Block / g Block): The Boys' Hostel (b Block) has 200 rooms over six floors, with a spacious dining hall and common areas. The Girls' Hostel (g Block), donated by Infosys Foundation, accommodates ~100 students with similar amenities. All rooms are well-ventilated and furnished.
