Indira Gandhi National Open University is a central university in New Delhi that was established in 1985. IGNOU offers a variety of courses BA, MA, BCom, MBA, diploma and certificate courses. The lengths of courses are between one and six years based on programs. The eligibility criterion is 10+2 in case of undergraduate courses and relevant bachelor degrees in case of post graduate courses. The admission process is directly based on merit.
