Affiliated to Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University and approved by AICTE, BIT is accredited with an “A” grade by NAAC, has NBA accreditation for all UG programs, and is ISO 9001 certified. In July 2020, it achieved autonomous status as the first engineering college in Chhattisgarh to do so.
