Army Institute of Technology (AIT), Pune, established in 1994 under Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), was founded to impart quality engineering education to the children of serving and retired defence personnel. AIT has also been re-accredited with an ‘A’ grade by NAAC (2019) and holds NBA accreditation for all its undergraduate programs, Affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University and approved by AICTE. AIT, Pune opens its Undergraduate (B.Tech) admissions annually for wards of serving/retired Army, Air Force, and Navy personnel. Selection is based on the candidate’s JEE Main score, and applicants must have passed their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM), securing at least 50% marks. The institute follows a fully online application process no hard-copy submissions are required. Merit lists are published about 10 days after JEE Main results, followed by branch choice filling, online counselling, seat allotment, and final physical reporting.
