Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech. Lateral Entry) at Vignan University

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech. Lateral Entry) at Vignan University in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh is a 3-year undergraduate programme. The total fee on record is ₹5.18 lakh – ₹18.45 lakh, which works out to about ₹1.73 lakh a year.

Lateral entry lets diploma holders (and, at many colleges, B.Sc. graduates) join directly in the second year, so the degree takes a year less. The subjects are the same as the regular programme from the second year on.

Vignan University is a other institute, founded in 1997. This page brings together what is on record for this course at Vignan University — fees, seats, eligibility, the admission route and placements — so you can judge it before you apply.

For admission to Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech. Lateral Entry), you usually need a three-year diploma in engineering (or, at many colleges, a B.Sc. with Mathematics).

The admission process usually runs like this:

1. Check that you meet the eligibility above and register for the entrance exam in time.
2. Take state lateral-entry tests (such as LEET) and keep your scorecard.
3. Apply to Vignan University on its website (vignan.ac.in) or through the enquiry form on this page, and take part in counselling if a state or central body runs it.
