Most B.Tech programmes follow a similar pattern: the first year builds the foundations (mathematics, science and programming), the middle years go deep into the subject, and the final year is given over to electives, a major project and usually an internship.

Here that means design thinking, drawing, materials and digital tools, built around a portfolio of studio projects. Typical first jobs: designer roles in product, fashion, communication or UX. Many graduates also go on to a master's degree.

The exact syllabus is set by the college or its affiliating university and changes from year to year, so ask Tezpur University for the current semester-wise plan.

Colleges revise fees most years, and hostel, transport and exam charges are often billed separately. Confirm the current figure with Tezpur University before you pay anything.

To get into Bachelor of Design (B.Des.), you usually need Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics, plus Chemistry, Computer Science or another technical subject; most colleges ask for roughly 45–60% in these subjects.
