B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering (Lateral Entry) at Somaiya Vidyavihar University

Somaiya Vidyavihar University, Mumbai, Maharashtra, offers B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering (Lateral Entry) as a 3-year undergraduate degree. The total fee on record is ₹14.15 lakh – ₹22.28 lakh, which works out to about ₹4.72 lakh a year.

Lateral entry lets diploma holders (and, at many colleges, B.Sc. graduates) join directly in the second year, so the degree takes a year less. The subjects are the same as the regular programme from the second year on.
