Most B.Tech programmes follow a similar pattern: the first year builds the foundations (mathematics, science and programming), the middle years go deep into the subject, and the final year is given over to electives, a major project and usually an internship.

Here that means aerodynamics, aircraft structures, propulsion and flight mechanics. Typical first jobs: aerospace, design or maintenance engineer. Many graduates also go on to a master's degree.

The exact syllabus is set by the college or its affiliating university and changes from year to year, so ask Shivaji University Kolhapur for the current semester-wise plan.

The fee figures on record for this course are below. Fees are for the whole course unless marked otherwise, and apply to B.Tech programmes at Shivaji University Kolhapur as a group.

Colleges revise fees most years, and hostel, transport and exam charges are often billed separately. Confirm the current figure with Shivaji University Kolhapur before you pay anything.

To get into B.Tech. in Aeronautical Engineering, you usually need Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics, plus Chemistry, Computer Science or another technical subject; most colleges ask for roughly 45–60% in these subjects. The minimum marks on record at Shivaji University Kolhapur are: X: 0.0, XII: 45.0, Graduation: 0.0.
