Post Graduate Diploma in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (PGDDSAI) Online at COEP

If you are looking at Post Graduate Diploma in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (PGDDSAI) Online, COEP in Pune runs it as a 1-year, full-time postgraduate course. The intake is 60 seats a year. Fees for the full course come to ₹83,000 – ₹3.47 lakh (roughly ₹83,000 a year).

At its core, the programme covers how machines learn from data: programming in Python, probability and statistics, machine learning, neural networks, computer vision and natural language processing, with projects on real datasets.

COEP is a public/government institute, founded in 1854. This page brings together what is on record for this course at COEP — fees, seats, eligibility, the admission route and placements — so you can judge it before you apply.

Most PGD programmes follow a similar pattern: the first year builds the foundations, the middle years go deep into the subject, and the final year is given over to electives, a major project and usually an internship.

Here that means how machines learn from data: programming in Python, probability and statistics, machine learning, neural networks, computer vision and natural language processing, with projects on real datasets. Typical first jobs: machine learning engineer, AI developer, data scientist or research engineer.

The exact syllabus is set by the college or its affiliating university and changes from year to year, so ask COEP for the current semester-wise plan.

Here is how the fee on record breaks down. Fees are for the whole course unless marked otherwise, and apply to PGD programmes at COEP as a group.

Colleges revise fees most years, and hostel, transport and exam charges are often billed separately. Confirm the current figure with COEP before you pay anything.

To be considered for Post Graduate Diploma in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (PGDDSAI) Online, you usually need a bachelor's degree in a related subject.

Admission to this kind of course is usually on merit in the qualifying exam. Reserved-category candidates generally get a relaxation in the minimum marks. Check COEP's prospectus for the exact cut-off this year.

• Post Graduate Diploma in Embedded Systems for Internet of Things (PGDESIoT)
• Post Graduate Diploma in Enterprise Resource Planning (PGDERP) Online
• Discontinued (Jul2023)-Post Graduate Diploma in Rail and Metro Technology (PGDRMT)

Before you decide, it helps to be clear on these:

• Are you genuinely interested in how machines learn from data? You will spend 1 year on it.
• Can you manage ₹83,000 – ₹3.47 lakh over the course, plus hostel and living costs? Ask about scholarships and education loans.
