Most B.Tech programmes follow a similar pattern: the first year builds the foundations (mathematics, science and programming), the middle years go deep into the subject, and the final year is given over to electives, a major project and usually an internship.

Here that means circuits, signals and systems, analogue and digital communication, microprocessors and VLSI design. Typical first jobs: electronics engineer, embedded engineer, telecom or semiconductor roles. Many graduates also go on to a master's degree.

The exact syllabus is set by the college or its affiliating university and changes from year to year, so ask Aliah University for the current semester-wise plan.

This is what the course costs, as recorded. Fees are for the whole course unless marked otherwise, and apply to B.Tech programmes at Aliah University as a group.

Colleges revise fees most years, and hostel, transport and exam charges are often billed separately. Confirm the current figure with Aliah University before you pay anything.

For admission to B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering, you usually need Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics, plus Chemistry, Computer Science or another technical subject; most colleges ask for roughly 45–60% in these subjects. The minimum marks on record at Aliah University are: X: 0.0, XII: 60.0, Graduation: 0.0.
